Architect Michael Stepner is a
native of Chicago but he has lived and worked in San Diego since 1971.
He worked in the City Planning Department until 1997 and since
that time he has been teaching and consulting. He became San Diego's
first and only City Architect and is a former Dean of NewSchool of
Architecture & Design. He was prominent in planning and creating the
successful Gaslamp District and
is very much involved in the current
waterfront development. He has a wealth of knowledge which he freely
shares with the public and is a prominent civic leader.
